Advantage Torza Top Premier Review
SummaryTonneau Type: Soft Folding, Soft Tonneau Cover
Positives:Fast install, Canvas material top
Negatives:4 clamps instead of 6, Flimsy frame
The Advantage Torza Top Premier takes the same flimsy construction of the original Torza Top and wraps a nice canvas layer over it improving appearance but not adding much for structural integrity. If looks are important in a soft folding tonneau cover then its not bad, but make sure this is the one you want.
Canvas is going to last longer than vinyl and it looks better too. Cleaning the surface may take a little more time than the normal vinyl surface, but that’s a small price to pay for the upgrade in material. Also, canvas has a softer feel and doesn’t get nearly as hot as vinyl does in the summer.
If you read our Advantage Torza Top Review, you may have seen the lack luster ratings that we gave it. Since the only change in the Premier version is the top itself, not a lot is going to change. To revise these covers they both share the same features:
- Completely pre-assembled aluminum frame
- Normal profile, sits 1.5″ above bed rails
- 4 clamps hold the cover in place
- Installs and removes in only minutes
- Tri-fold Tonneau Cover style
- Limited lifetime warranty
Of course the price is a little bit higher for the better materials used which brings this cover into the high end of the soft folding tonneau cover range. Competition gets a little bit tougher in this area where the Extang Trifecta sits which we will review as well. Over-all the construction isn’t too impressive but the canvas top does give it a little advantage over the competition in looks and durability.
